WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Three Lycoming College women's lacrosse players posted at least five goals as the team continued its torrid start in a 20-13 non-conference win over King's College on Wednesday, March 16, at McCarthy Stadium. This was the fourth time this season Lycoming has scored at least 20 goals in a game and the third time in four games.

Senior
Savannah Fox (Port Deposit, Md./Perryville), sophomore
Jordan Lazarich (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park), and freshman
Kelly McGinniss (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) each scored five goals with Fox also contributing two assists and two groundballs, Lazarich winning six draw controls, and McGinniss winning nine draws. Senior
Meghenn Jackson (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) also continued her strong start to the season with three goals and three assists to go along with three ground balls and two draw controls.

The Warriors (6-0 overall) scored the first five goals of the game in just 6:20 before the Monarchs (2-3 overall) got on the board. After freshman
Thamina Peti (York, Pa./West York Area) scored to give the Warriors a 6-1 lead, the Warriors scored four more times over the next 5:24 to take an eight-goal lead. The Monarchs came back with three of the next four goals in the game, but the Warriors closed the first half by scoring four straight in a span of just 4:06 to lead 15-5 at the half.

After the Warriors scored five of the first seven second half goals to take a 20-7 lead with 18:49 remaining, the Monarchs scored the final six goals to yield the final margin.

Sophomore
Jenna Hudson (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) finished the game with one ground ball and two draw controls, freshman
Olivia Lawler (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) won three draw controls while junior
Leanne Shaw (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) scored once.

Gabriella Morrocu led the way for the Monarchs, as she notched a game-high seven goals to go along with five draw controls and Amanda Carroll finished with four goals, an assist, two ground balls and three draw controls. Sarah Almony rounded out the scoring for the Monarchs with two goals, an assist and three ground balls.

Junior
Nicole Gerling (Millstone Township, N.J./Allentown) got the win as she posted two saves in 50 minutes of action. Freshman
Megan Bozarth (El Cajon, Calif./Valhalla) relieved Gerling for the final 10 minutes and made one save. Victoria Zawacki took the loss in net for the Monarchs and posted 11 saves in the first half. Courtney Stefanik played the second half and stopped two shots.

The Warriors outshot the Monarchs 40-19 and put 33 shots on goal. The Warriors also held a 24-11 advantage in draw controls and forced 13 turnovers.

The Warriors will look for their seventh straight win on Monday, March 21, as they host Gwynedd Mercy at 4 p.m. in a non-conference matchup at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
