WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Six Lycoming College men's basketball players finished in double figures as it shot 54 percent from the field and crossed the century mark for the second straight game, posting a 103-90 win over Western Connecticut State in the championship game of the 18
th annual Dutch Burch Tip-Off on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 19, in Lamade Gym.

Alex Newbold (Bowie, Md./DeMatha Catholic) was named the tournament MVP, as he finished with 15 points, three rebounds and two steals and senior
Nyk King (Harlem, N.Y./Manhattan Center for Science & Math) posted 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and four steals to earn all-tournament team honors.

The Warriors (3-0 overall) once again stormed out of the gate, taking a 17-7 lead in the game's first five minutes before the Colonials (1-1 overall) cut the lead back down to four points at 17-13. Lycoming ran off the next nine points to take a 26-13 lead with 11:31 left in the first half. In a frenetic paced game, the Colonials again cut the lead back to four points at 35-31 with 6:48 left thanks to an 18-9 run. The Warriors never let the Colonials back within four and a four-point run in the half's last 75 seconds to make it 52-42 at the break.

The Colonials didn't go away quietly, cutting the lead to 62-57 with 13:15 in the second half after a pair of free throws from Elias Rodriguez, but the Warriors got back on the board thanks to the point guard play of senior
Willie Kee (Baltimore, Md./Parkville), who had an assist on a fastbreak bucket by Kee and before hitting a pair of jumpers during a run of eight straight points to make it 73-60 with 10:11 left.

The Colonials got back within seven points, but Lycoming used an 18-8 run to pull ahead 96-79 off a fastbreak layup by King, and the Colonials never closed back within 12.

Senior
David Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa./Communications Tech) posted 14 points, three rebounds and two assists and both freshman
Damani Myers (Baldwin, N.Y./St. Mary's) and junior
Darius James (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) each had career-highs of 13 points. Junior
Chris Wallace (Randallstown, Md./Calvert Hall) finished with 12 points and four rebounds.

Tre'Von Perry posted 18 points and Bobby Bynum notched 17 points and five assists for the Colonials, who shot 51 percent from the field. Rodriguez finished with 13 points and Jon Mowatt finished with six assists. Rashard Rodriguez was named to the all-tournament team after notching eight points, five blocks and two steals.

The Warriors get back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 22, when they head to 24
th-ranked Susquehanna for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
