ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Senior
Kristine Jahn (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) posted 25Â kills in a pair of matches to move within 11 of 1,000 in her career to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team on the second day of the Eastern University quadrangular, as the team dropped Hunter, 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22) before falling to Muhlenberg, 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 13-25, 16-25) in the closing match.

Jahn hit a healthy .477 (25-4-44) in the two matches to lead the Warriors (15-19 overall), as she heads into the postseason looking to become the ninth player in school history to reach 1,000 career kills.

Against Hunter, Jahn led the way with 10 kills, hitting .600, to go with three digs in a sweep of a team that Lycoming lost to earlier this season.

Senior
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) finished with seven kills and seven digs and freshman
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added seven kills and two blocks. Sophomore
Cheyenne Altland (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic) added six kills and four blocks. Junior
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) posted 22 assists and two aces and freshman
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) finished with 10 assists and six digs.

Defensively, the Warriors were led by 18 digs from sophomore
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) and senior
Haley Deibert (Herndon, Pa./Tri-Valley) added seven digs.

The Hawks (17-13 overall) were led by 11 kills and 10 digs from Julia Connelly. Breanna Banske posted 17 assists and six digs and Taylor Kerr-Haiduk posted two blocks.

Jahn continued her strong hitting against the Mules, posting 15 kills and hitting .414, but the Mules hit .315 in the match to post the four-set win.

Senior
Tayler Whitman (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished with five kills and Altland added six kills and three blocks. McDevitt also had six kills and a block and Burger finished with 25 assists. Hepner finished with two aces and eight digs.

Maggie Enestvedt led the Mules (19-10 overall) with 17 kills and Kelly Tornetta added 16 kills and 10 digs. Shannon Hubert posted nine kills and 46 assists and Elizabeth Garrison finished with 13 digs and four aces. Erica Schultz added three blocks.

The Warriors will open the postseason on Monday, Oct. 31, when they head to Widener University for a 7 p.m. match to open the MAC Commonwealth Championship, with the winner of that No. 4/5 game facing top-seeded Stevenson on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Stevenson University.
