Kyle Thomas (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) floated to the far post and connected, sending a shot past the goalline in the 109
th minute to lift the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a 3-2 double-overtime win over 21
st-ranked SUNY Oneonta on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 25, at Red Dragon Field.

Lycoming (8-6-4 overall) was down to its last chance in the game, earning a corner kick in the 109
th minute. As both teams settled into position, sophomore
Jake Webb (Fairless Hills, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) delivered a perfect kick over the center of the scrum to the far post, where Thomas kicked in the game-winner to give the Warriors their first win on the road against a ranked team in program history.

After a scoreless first half where Oneonta (13-5-1 overall) took 14 shots and Lycoming took five, both teams were able to find the back of the net with regularity in the second period. Freshman
Daniel Anwanwan (Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson) got the Warriors on the board first, with junior
Abdullahi Abdi (Seattle, Wash./James Garfield) getting a pass to Anwanwan, who connected with it to get it in in the 48
th minute.

Oneonta responded in the 58
th minute with Witman Hernandez finding the net from inside the 12-yard box. Lycoming got back into the lead in the 72
nd minute, when sophomore
Sainclair Tueno (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) delivered a long pass forward for junior
Duc Momo (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase), who headed it down, then dribbled into the box and found the right corner.

Oneonta tied the game at two in the 77
th minute, when Hans Purtell found a rebound of a shot that hit the post and put it in the back of the net. Oneonta took six more shots in the period, but Lycoming's senior goalkeeper
Josh Gildea (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) stopped four of them in order to preserve the tie and send it to overtime.

Gildea earned the win for the Warriors, making 10 saves in the 109-minute effort, as Oneonta fired 29 shots in the game. Mike Gaffary stopped four shots in the first 95 minutes before Nick Lindovski finished the game for the Red Dragons.

The Warriors close the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 29, when they host Stevenson in MAC Commonwealth action at 3 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex, needing a win and some help to qualify for the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
