ELMIRA, N.Y. – Senior
Kristine Jahn (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) posted 11 kills in both matches and the Lycoming College volleyball team overcame a fifth-set deficit to post a 3-2 (25-13, 14-25, 25-19, 18-25, 16-14) win over Elmira College after falling, 3-0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-20), to SUNY Cortland, at the second day of the Elmira College Invitational on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 15, at Speidel Gymnasium.

The Warriors (14-15 overall) fell behind 11-10 in the fifth set before overcoming the deficit to post a 16-14 win, thanks to a heavy-hitting .476 (12-2-21) effort in the 3-2 win over Elmira.

Senior
Tayler Whitman (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) posted 13 kills, hitting .423, to go with five blocks to lead the Warriors, while Jahn finished with 11 kills, hitting .333. Freshman
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) added six kills, five digs and three blocks and senior
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) added five kills, 13 digs, a block and an ace. Freshman
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) also added five kills and freshman
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) notched four blocks.

Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) added 18 assists, eight digs and three kills and freshman
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) finished with 14 assists and eight digs. Sophomore
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) added a match-high 26 digs, as she became the 14
th player in program history to cross 1,000 career digs.

Natalie Schieder led the Soaring Eagles (4-11 overall) with 22 kills and 11 digs and Kelsey Ray posted nine kills and four blocks. McKenzie Slaven posted four aces, Taylor Kaznowski notched 43 assists, 16 digs and three blocks and Rachel Katzenberger had 20 digs.

In the opening match of the day, Fink and Jahn each finished with double-figure kills, but a balanced hitting performance by SUNY Cortland (14-11 overall) helped it post a 3-0 win.

Fink led the Warriors with 13 kills and 12 digs for her sixth double-double of the season, as she hit .423 against the Red Dragons. Jahn added 11 kills and three digs, as she hit .440. Burger finished with 17 assists, two aces and eight digs and Morris added 13 assists. Hepner added a match-high 21 digs.

Courtney Silberer finished with 13 kills and two blocks to lead the Red Dragons, while Valerie Fischer added nine kills, eight digs and two aces. Sarah Piacentini added 33 assists, eight digs and four aces and Alexandra Graff finished with 19 digs.

The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, Oct. 19, when they head to Widener University for an important 7 p.m. MAC Commonwealth match.
