GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Lycoming College men's soccer team fell to 12
th-ranked Messiah College, 2-0, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in a rematch of the 2015 MAC Commonwealth Championship game, at Shoemaker Field.

In a tough matchup between two teams that have been in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region poll for most of the season, the Falcons (10-0-3 overall, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) were able to find the scoreboard in the 17
th minute when Kirby Robbins dribbled down the middle took a shot, grabbed his rebound and scored on the second chance.

In the 35
th minute, Samuel Ruiz Plaza scored with a shot from outside the box into the upper left corner of the net.

Josh Gildea (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) made four saves for the Warriors (6-5-3 overall, 1-2-1 MAC Commonwealth), as Messiah took 20 shots in the game. Connor Bell stopped one of Lycoming's five shots to earn the shutout for Messiah.

The Warriors will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, Oct. 15, when they head to Widener for an important MAC Commonwealth matchup. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
