Warriors fall to Knights

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Jordan Lazarich (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) scored her 17th goal of the season, but two early goals helped the No. 13/17 Arcadia University post a 3-1 MAC Commonwealth win over the Lycoming College women's soccer team at a rain-soaked Shangraw Athletic Complex on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Lazarich scored in the 33rd minute after freshmen Michayla Hazard (Brick, N.J./Brick Memorial) and Mackaella Goodwin (Madison, N.J./Madison) played the ball ahead for Lazarich, who fired a ball into the top left corner to cut Arcadia's lead to a goal at 2-1.

Arcadia (11-0 overall, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) got started in the fourth minute with a goal from Jess Kelly before Lennon Kramer scored her first of two goals in the eighth minute. Kramer rounded out the scoring with a goal in the 47th minute.

Junior Joelle Winey (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) finished with six saves for the Warriors (6-4-2 overall, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) off 13 shots from Arcadia and Taelor Rivera was not forced to make a save in the win for the Knights.

The Warriors get back on the field on Tuesday, Oct. 4, when they head to Albright for a 7 p.m. MAC Commonwealth game.
