SCRANTON, Pa. – Playing for the first time in nine years, the Lycoming College men's soccer team dominated the University of Scranton in a 3-0 non-conference win thanks to first-half goals from sophomore
Nathan Harding (Secretary, Md./North Dorcester) at Fitzpatrick Field on Friday night, Sept. 4.

Harding scored on a pair of unassisted tallies late in the first half, finding the back of the net in the 34
th minute by rebounding a blocked kick by the keeper back into the net. In the 42
nd minute, he blasted a shot from 17 yards out off a free ball.

Lycoming (1-1 overall) got on the board in the 27
th minute when junior
Dom Haynes (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East)got a pass from sophomore
Jordan Logan (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) and chipped a shot into the right corner of the box for the team's first goal of the year.

After firing eight shots in the first half, the Warriors took four more shots in the second while limiting Scranton to just two shots in the game.

Lycoming junior goalkeeper
Josh Gildea (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) (1-1) played 89 minutes in net before yielding to freshman
Chris Solecki (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) for the final minute. Neither saw a shot on net.

Scranton keeper Eric Hintz (0-2) took the loss, making two saves and allowing three goals in the first half. Colin Homola played the second half and made one stop.

The win was Lycoming's first over Scranton since a 2-1 win in 2005 and the first on the road since a 2-0 win in 2004. The two teams are former Middle Atlantic Conference rivals.

The Warriors get back on the field on Sunday, Sept. 6, when they head to perennial national contender York (Pa.) for a 3 p.m. kick-off.
