HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Sophomore
Jordan Logan (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) scored twice to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a 6-0 win over rival Juniata College in non-conference action on a sunny Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

The Warriors (5-1 overall) got their offense going with an aggressive attack, using five corner kicks to score twice in the opening half. Lycoming got on the board in the 10
th minute, as sophomore
Abdullahi Abdi (Seattle, Wash./James Garfield) lifted a corner kick into the box and Logan got to it in the middle of the box and headed it into the left corner for his team-high fourth goal. Lycoming's second goal also came on a corner kick, lifted by freshman
Eli Kouemi (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) from the left side of the field and sophomore
Jose Cooper (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) headed it into the right corner in the 34
th minute.

In the second half, the Warriors kept rolling, with the team finding the back of the net four times thanks to a flurry of 11 shots. Abdi started the Lycoming threats in the 50
th minute, driving down the left sideline before dishing off to Logan, who fired it into the net from 20 yards out. Kouemi followed with a goal in the 69
th minute after he made a move on the sideline, drippled in and found the right corner.

After that, freshman
Sean McLoughlin (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) got a rebounded shot and fired it back into the center of the net from 30 yards out and just two minutes later, junior
Mike Amaya (Stockton, N.J./Hunterdon Central) fired a laser from 25 yards out into the net.

The Warriors finished with 25 shots while holding Juniata (2-3-1 overall) to seven in the shutout. They also were awarded 12 corner kicks, as freshman
Chris Solecki (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) earned a shutout with two saves in his first career start.

Kouemi finished with a goal and an assist and Abdi posted two helpers to round out the multiple-point scorers for the Warriors.

Achim Schwemmlein took the loss for the Eagles, allowing two goals and making three saves in the first half. James Johnson stopped three shots in the next 31 minutes before Mark Lee allowed one goal in the final 14 minutes.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Sept. 19, when they host Keystone in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. as part of Family Weekend.
