WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With finals now behind them, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will start off the Holiday break with games on back-to-back days, starting by facing Gordon College on Saturday, Dec. 12, at Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (5-2 overall) are coming off a narrow 81-77 defeat to Arcadia on Wednesday, Dec. 9. Juniors
Nykolas King and
David Johnson led the way with 18 points each, as King also added nine rebounds and hit 10-of-12 free throws while Johnson posted six rebounds and three assists.
The Fighting Scots (3-4 overall) are coming off an 100-84 defeat at the hands of undefeated Eastern Nazarene. They will face Penn College on Friday night before facing the Warriors on Saturday.
Warrior Notes• The Warriors are 6-8 all-time on Dec. 12, last falling to Wilkes, 72-60, in 2009.
• The Warriors lead the MAC Commonwealth in scoring margin (8.7), rebounding (45.3), offensive rebounds (16.7), rebounding margin (8.1), and steals (10.7).
• Junior
Nykolas King has scored in double figures in each of his last nine games, the longest streak of his career.

Alex Newbold needs two more steals to reach 75 in his career.
• The Warriors have grabbed at least 17 offensive rebounds in each of the last four games, averaging 19.0 a game. Newbold and sophomore
Chris Wallace have led the way with an average of 3.3 per game over that time.
• Lycoming scored 54 of the 155 points (35 percent) in its last two games at the free throw line. King hit 14-of-20 at the line and junior
David Johnson hit 12-of-14 in those contests.
