DALLAS, Pa. – Seniors
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) each won two individual events to lead the Lycoming College swim teams at Misericordia, but Lycoming dropped both dual meets to Misericordia, 144-114 on the women's side and 140-119 on the men's, on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Anderson Center.

Sloyer led the women's team with wins in the 200-yard backstroke (2:21.75) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:45.30), as the team won four individual events while falling to 3-2 overall. Senior
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:24.80 and freshman
Scarlet Ojeda (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:29.70.

Misericordia improved to 2-5 overall.
On the men's side, Thomas posted wins in the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.83) and the 100-yard butterfly (54.93), as the team won four individual events. Senior
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) added a win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.48. The team also won the 400-yard medley relay to kick off the race, as the team of freshman
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing), senior
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), Thomas and Apostolu posted a time of 3:41.02.
The Warriors fell to 2-3 overall, while the Cougars improved to 2-3.

Jordan also nearly won the 100-yard backstroke against Joe Grzech, the reigning MAC 200-yard backstroke champion, as he posted a time of 55.67, just behind Grzech's 55.51.

Lycoming gets back in the pool on Friday, Nov. 20, when they start the two-day Swarthmore Invitational at 6:30 p.m.
