WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore
Jordan Lazarich (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) posted her 14
th goal of the season to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team to a 1-0 MAC Commonwealth win over Hood College, securing the program's first .500 season since 2007, on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 20, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

The Warriors (9-8 overall, 2-5 MAC Commonwealth) dominated the game with Blazers (5-11 overall, 0-5 MAC Commonwealth), finishing with 21 shots while allowing just five. Meanwhile, they forced Hood goalkeeper Rachel Knoebel to finish with 11 saves.

Meghenn Jackson (Arnold, Md./Broadneck/Anne Arundel C.C.) dropped a pass back for Lazarich, who lifted a 16-yard floater into the left corner of the net, as she tied for the team lead in goals with Jackson. Both players will enter the final game of the year against Widener one goal shy of the single-season school-record of 15 set by Danielle Curry in 2004.

Helen Ross (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) made three saves to earn her first career full-game shutout.
