GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's soccer team fell to Arcadia University, 3-0, in MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 10, at Easton Field.
Freshman goalkeeper
Helen Ross (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) stopped four shots in the first half for Lycoming (7-6 overall, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) and sophomore
Joelle Winey (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) stopped one in the second, as Arcadia (8-4 overall, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) took 31 shots in the game.
The Warriors took seven shots, led by three from senior
Meghenn Jackson (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) and two from sophomore
Devon Mendler (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area). Arcadia keeper Evelyn Feigeles stopped three shots to earn the shutout.
Jackie Glanfield assisted on two late first-half goals for the Knights, with Melia Ochsner scoring in the 35
th minute and Erin Connors in the 37
th minute. Jess Kelly rounded out the Knights' scoring in the 48
th minute.
The Warriors get back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 13, when they host top-ranked Messiah at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
