ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Senior
Eric Ishman (Bronx, N.Y./Christ the King) scored a season high 10 points and the Lycoming College men's basketball team was able to outlast Penn State Lehigh Valley, 67-64, on a snowy Wednesday night, Jan. 21, at Lees Gymnasium.

The Warriors (11-6 overall) came out in the second half on an 11-4 run to take a 47-37 lead with 14:22 left after back-to-back layups from freshman
Chris Wallace (Randallstown, Md./Calvert Hall) and freshman
Justin Iton (Hackensack, N.J./Dwight Morrow). They never trailed again.

The Lions (6-11 overall) cut the lead down to five points with 11:32 left, but Lycoming didn't let the Penn State Lehigh Valley within one possession, taking a nine-point lead after a layup by senior
Patrick Dougher (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) with 6:29 left. The Lions went on an 8-2 run to cut the lead down to three points and even closed within two points with 21 seconds left after a layup by D'Avery Rickman, but a free throw from freshman
Casey Vickers (Terre Haute, Ind./Bridgton Academy) rounded out the scoring.

In a first half filled with five ties and four lead changes, the Warriors took the final lead in the half when freshman
Issak Bodon (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to go into the locker room ahead 36-33.

Alex Newbold (Bowie, Md./DeMatha Catholic) each led the team with 12 points. Sophomore
Nykolas King (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center for Science & Math) posted nine points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals. Dougher notched nine points and Ishman posted 10 to go with four assists.

Joe Wiggins led the Lions with 17 points and Rickmon posted 15 points and 11 rebounds. David Stevens added 10 points and three steals.

The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Jan. 24, when they host Alvernia in a Commonwealth Conference game. Tip is set for 3 p.m.
