Box Score

BRADFORD, Pa. – Another dominating performance on Sunday, Sept. 7, helped the Lycoming College men's soccer team improve to 3-0-1, the program's best start since 2002, as Lycoming scored twice in the first 10 minutes en route to a 3-0 non-conference win over Pitt-Bradford at the Kessel Athletic Complex.

The Warriors posted their fourth straight shutout, improving the team's streak of scoreless minutes to 380, closing within 168 minutes of the school record of 548 scoreless minutes set during the 2013 season when the team posted five straight shutouts as they won the program's first conference title.

The defense was again dominant, allowing just three shots in the contest, with sophomore Josh Gildea (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) being forced to make just two saves in his first career start.

The offense, meanwhile, was quick to move against the Panthers (0-5 overall), as senior Luke Klingler (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) put in a rebound in the eighth minute to give Lycoming the early lead. Just over a minute later, senior Kevin Seymour (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) found freshman Kyle Thomas (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright), who scored his first career goal.

Freshman Keenthy Yeboah (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) found the back of the net in the second half to round out the scoring with his second goal.

Colin Frownfelter stopped 11 shots in net for the Panthers, as Lycoming used a balanced attack of 19 shots in the game, 10 in the first half and nine in the second. Lycoming also kept pressure on throughout the game, notching 10 corner kicks.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 10, when they host Penn College in the Battle for the Lumber at 5 p.m.
