WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore
Savannah Fox (Port Deposit, Md./Perryville) led a group of four Lycoming College women's lacrosse players to finish with hat tricks, as the team scored 15 first-half goals en route to a 20-7 win over Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday afternoon, March 15, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

Fox finished with five goals and an assist to lead the Warriors (1-4 overall), while junior
Kari Rybak (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) added four goals and an assist, senior
Amber Graybill (Pasadena, Md./Pasadena) added three goals and three assists and senior
Maureen Heagy (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) added three goals. Junior
Casey Maguire (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) also added two goals and four assists, becoming the 13
th player in school history to reach 100 career points, with her final assist of the game, at the 28:36 mark of the second half.

The early part of the game was filled with action, as Maguire picked up a groundball early and found Fox for the first goal just 39 seconds in. Gwynedd Mercy's Kelsey Yori tied the game just 27 seconds later, but Heagy scored her first goal with 27:04 left, giving the Warriors the lead for good. Heagy's goal, also started a 16-0 run, capped on another goal by Heagy with 26:40 left in the second half, which made it 17-1.

From there, the Griffins (2-3 overall) scored six of the last nine goals, but Lycoming never let Gwynedd Mercy back within 10 goals.

The Warriors forced the Griffins into 21 turnovers and allowed Gwynedd Mercy just 8-of-15 in clears, while also holding a 31-21 advantage in ground balls.

Senior
Sarah Quigley (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown South) posted a goal and an assist to cross 50 points in her career and led the team with four ground balls. She also added four draw controls, while junior
Erin Cieniewicz (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) posted five. Cieniewicz also added an assist. Junior
Liz Francescone (Cream Ridge, N.J./Notre Dame) posted three caused turnovers, three ground balls and three draw controls and sophomore
Kelsey Harshman (Hamilton Square, N.J./Steinert) added two caused turnovers and a goal. Freshman
Leanne Shaw (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) added a goal, an assist and three ground balls.

Yori led the Griffins with four goals and two assists. Danae Perrymond added a goal, an assist, eight draw controls and three ground balls. Gina Febbo added five ground balls.

Nicole Gerling (Millstone Township, N.J./Allentown) (1-4) made seven stops and allowed one goal in the first half to earn her first collegiate win before yielding to freshman
Casey Martindale (Davidsonville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) stopped one shot in the second half for the Warriors. Megan Rose (2-3) stopped five shots for the Griffins.
