Warriors open quest for second straight Dutch Burch Tip-Off title

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Out for its second straight and 12th overall Dutch Burch Tip-Off Tournament title, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will open the 2014-15 season against Penn State Schuylkill in the opening round of the tournament on Saturday night, Nov. 15.

The Warriors finished 13-11 overall in 2013-14 and narrowly missed the program's third straight bid to the Commonwealth Conference Tournament. Penn State Schuylkill finished 1-19 overall in 2013-14. 

Game Notes
• The Warriors are 15-1 all-time in Dutch Burch Tip-Off Tournament openers.

• The Warriors are 6-0 in season-openers under head coach Guy Rancourt. They are 40-26 (.606) all-time in season-openers.

• With a win, Rancourt can tie Joe Bressi for third on Lycoming's all-time wins list with 97.

• Senior Pat Dougher needs two more 3-pointers to tie Will Kelly for 12th on the all-time list with 134.

• Dougher needs one more point to reach 600 in his career.

• Senior Malcolm Covington averaged 12.7 points and 6.0 assists during the last three games of 2013-14.
