Box Score GRANTHAM, Pa. – Sophomore
Kristine Jahn (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) posted 12 kills and 10 digs to lead the Lycoming volleyball team, but a hot-hitting Messiah College was able to post a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-22) Commonwealth Conference win on Wednesday night, Oct. 8, at the Brubaker Auditorium.

The Warriors (13-12 overall, 2-2 Commonwealth) posted a solid 30 kills in the three-set match, but Messiah (16-5 overall, 4-1 Commonwealth) was able to hit .355 (44-6-107) en route to the win.

Junior
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) used seven kills in the match to become the 10th player in school history to post 900 career kills with her fourth kill during the night.

Sophomore
Maggie Slawson (Armagh, Pa./United) notched six kills and 11 digs and sophomore
Tayler Whitman (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) added 10 digs. Freshman
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) posted 22 assists and eight digs and sophomore
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) notched eight digs.

Messiah was led by 14 kills by Jane Underman and nine kills, 11 digs and three blocks from Kristen Douglas. Brooke Gallagher added four kills, 38 assists and five digs. Â Danielle Weaver notched nine digs and Hayley Cowoski also added 10.

The Warriors get back on the court Tuesday, Oct. 14, when they face Alvernia in a key Commonwealth Conference clash at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
