READING, Pa. – A goal early in the second half helped lift Albright College to a 1-0 upset win over the 25
th-ranked Lycoming College men's soccer team in Commonwealth Conference action at Shirk Stadium on Saturday night, Oct. 11.

The lone goal in the game came off a corner, as Albright's Keegan Frick found the back off the net off a scramble after the corner kick, finding the left side of the net, connecting on the third of three dangerous chances for the Lions (6-7 overall, 1-2 Commonwealth), after another corner and a Lycoming foul just outside the box.

The Warriors (9-2-3 overall, 1-2 Commonwealth) maintained control for much of the rest of the game, outshooting the Lions, 8-4, and holding an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks, but they could never get an equalizer, helping the Lions to their first win over Lycoming in 10 meetings, a stretch that dated back to 2001.

Connor Keenan (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) finished with two saves for the Warriors, while Albright's Austin Aldinger stopped two shots to earn the shutout.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Oct. 11, when they host Lebanon Valley in a critical Commonwealth Conference game at 3:30 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
