Matt Malecki (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) scored on a defensive extra point and senior
Tyler Denike (South Boardman, Mich./Forest Area) had a career-day for the Lycoming College football team, but Brockport used four second-half scores to post a 30-2 opening-day win at Fauver Stadium.

Denike finished with a career-high 11 tackles, including 1.5 for loss as the linebacker was all over the field for the Warriors (0-1 overall). Malecki added six tackles to go with the defensive extra point.

A two-touchdown third quarter and another pair of scores in the fourth helped Brockport (1-0 overall) break away after taking only a field goal lead into halftime. The Golden Eagles scored on an eight-play, 72-yard drive on their second series of the half. Shireem Cobb got the score, leaping across from two yards out.

Lycoming got on the scoreboard thanks to the extra point, though, as senior
C.J. Arhontakis (Spring Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) blocked the kick and sophomore

When Brockport got the ball back, though, the Eagles drove 62 yards in six plays with Andrew Mrozek catching a four-yard touchdown pass from Ty Stodt to make it 16-2.

In the fourth quarter, Brockport tacked on a big play score, as Darryl Thompson was hit on the fly from Stodt for a 46-yard touchdown pass. Tyrone Nichol capped Brockport's effort from 40 yards out with 5:18 left, as he broke down the sideline, bouncing off four tackles to score.

Brockport got on the board in the first quarter, as Tyler Perna hit a 27-yard field goal to cap a 10-play, 47-yard march.

Junior
Craig Needhammer (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) finished with 86 yards on 12 carries and senior
Matt Atkinson (Media, Pa./Penncrest) caught nine passes for 79 yards. Junior quarterback
Tyler Jenny (Coalport, Pa./Glendale) finished 18-of-37 for 144 yards. He was intercepted twice. Needhammer also added 91 yards on kick returns.

Nichols led Brockport with 23 carries for 126 yards and a score. Stoldt went 17-of-30 for 273 yards and two scores and he also ran for 57. He was intercepted twice, once by senior
Mike Ciotti (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and once by junior
Tanner Troutman (Hegins, Pa./Tri-Valley).

Johnny O'Hagen led the Eagles with nine tackles, 0.5 for loss. Senior
Dwight Hentz (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) kicked off his senior year by posting eight stops and a sack for the Warriors.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Sept. 14, when they host Wilkes at 1 p.m. at David Person Field.
