WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Brooke Strausser (Myerstown, Pa./Conrad Weiser) moved into a tie for ninth in school history in career points thanks to her fifth hat trick in six games to lead the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team, but Albright College used a second-half rally to take a 13-9 Commonwealth Conference decision at the Shangraw Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 6.
 
Strausser posted three goals, six ground balls, five draw controls and four caused turnovers to lead the Warriors (3-7 overall, 0-3 Commonwealth). In the process, she tied Erika Likens (2002-05) for ninth in school history with 135 career points.
 
Albright (8-2 overall, 2-1 Commonwealth) started the game on a 5-1 run, but Lycoming responded by dominating the second half of the first half, scoring five goals to take a 6-5 lead at halftime. Junior Amber Graybill (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) started the rally with a goal at the 14:25 mark and Strausser capped the rally with a pair of free position goals in the last six minutes of the half.
 
Albright took control in the second half, scoring the three goals in a three-minute span to gain a 9-7 advantage with 22:17 left, but sophomore Casey Maguire (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) cut the lead to a point with 18:49 left, scoring on a free-position shot. With the goal, she became the 20^th player in school history to reach 60 career points.
 
The Lions scored the next five goals, though, to take a 13-7 lead with 11:16 left. Lycoming finished strong, scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes, but couldn’t get closer than four goals.
 
Graybill finished with two goals and two ground balls and junior Maureen Heagy (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) added a goal, an assist and three ground balls. Senior Lindsay Schilling (Woodbine, Md./South Carroll) posted five ground balls and senior Hope Pappas (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) notched three caused turnovers and two ground balls to lead the defense.
 
Amanda Smith led the Lions with four goals, two assists, four ground balls and four draw controls and Erin Farrell notched three goals, five ground balls and a caused turnover. Rebecca Sartorio added three goals and four ground balls. Meghan Wilson notched a goal, an assist and two caused turnovers.
 
In net, senior Lauren Reitnouer (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) posted seven saves for Lycoming and Albright’s Emily Hutson stopped eight.
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Monday, April 8, for their final non-conference game of the year, as they face Arcadia at 4 p.m.
