HERSHEY, Pa. – Freshman
Nick McGee (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) led the Lycoming College golf team with a tie for 33
rd-place with an 85 at the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Spring Classic on Thursday, May 5 at the par-71, 6,363-yard Hershey Country Club East Course.
McGee led the Warriors with five pars and a birdie on the par-4, 394-yard ninth-hole, as he turned in scores of 7-over-par on both the front and back nine to take 33
rd in the 96-man field. The Warriors finished 18
th with a 384, as the team cut 70 strokes off its score at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Monday, April 2.
Senior
Josh Chmelik (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) posted a 92, notching three pars on the course and freshman
William Dietz (Mansfield, Pa./Mansfield Area) added a 101, posting three pars during his round. Senior
Ray Bierbach (Hunlock Creek, Pa./Northwest Area) added a 106 to round out Lycoming’s scoring, as he posted one par.
The Warriors get back on the course on Thursday, April 19, at 12 p.m., when they head to the Alvernia Invitational at the Reading Country Club.
