Amber Graybill (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) scored for the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team, but No. 8 Messiah posted an 18-1 win in Commonwealth Conference win at Anderson Field on Wednesday, April 25.
Graybill’s goal came with 4:25 left in the first half.
Junior
Hope Pappas (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) added three draw controls and junior
Lindsay Schilling (Woodbine, Md./South Carroll) notched four groundballs. Senior
Kristina Maurer (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Marian Catholic) made five saves for the Warriors (4-12 overall, 1-4 Commonwealth).
Messiah was led by five goals, two assists and six draw controls from Lizzy Keeney and Kiersten McGreer added four goals and an assist. Rachel Dirksen added three goals, three assists, three groundballs and four draw controls. Defensively, Rachel Coyle posted five caused turnovers and five groundballs.
In net, Taylor Phillips made two stops in the first half and Kelsey Luck also stopped two shots for the Falcons.
The Warriors wrap up their 2012 season on Saturday, April 28, when they face Alvernia at 1 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
