WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Brooke Strausser (Myerstown, Pa./Conrad Weiser) notched her seventh hat trick of the year, but Susquehanna scored 12 first-half goals en route to an 18-5 win over the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team at the Shangraw Athletic Complex on Wednesday afternoon, March 28.
Strausser posted two first-half goals and added one in the second half, while also adding three draw controls and two groundballs for the Warriors (3-5 overall). Freshman
Casey Maguire (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) posted two goals and an assist and sophomore
Amber Graybill (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) added an assist and two groundballs.
The Crusaders (8-0 overall) jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the first 11 minutes. In the second half, the Crusaders scored six goals to open the half before the Warriors scored the last three goals, two from Maguire and one from Strausser, in the last 10 minutes.

Kari Rybak (Boothwyn, Pa./Chicester) and junior
Lindsay Schilling (Woodbine, Md./South Carroll) each posted four groundballs for the Warriors and senior goalkeeper
Kristina Maurer (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Marian Catholic) made 17 stops in net while also picking up three groundballs.
Meredith Crane led the Crusaders with three goals and two assists and Michelle McGinness posted three goals and one helper. Brynn Reid also had three goals. Erin Dyer contributed two goals and two assists. McGinness picked up 12 draw controls and eight groundballs. Marra Landino also posted eight groundballs. In net, Emily Stankaitis posted six saves and allowed two goals in 43 minutes of action.
The Warriors will try to rebound on Sunday when they host FDU-Florham at 1 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
