CHESTER, Pa. – In a tough road environment on Saturday night, Oct. 6, senior
Matt Snively (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown) reached a milestone for the Lycoming College men's soccer team, helping the Warriors draw with Widener University, 1-1, in Commonwealth Conference action at Leslie C. Quick Stadium.
The Warriors (4-4-2 overall, 1-1-1 Commonwealth) used the draw to stay tied with the Pride (4-6-2 overall, 1-1-1 Commonwealth) for fifth in the league, as both have four points with seven games left to play. The top five team in the league will qualify for the league playoffs.

Charlie Vess (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills), who found the back of the net. The assist helped Snively become the 21
st player in school history to reach 40 career points.
The Warriors allowed just one shot in the next 20 minutes, but in the 73
rd minute, D.J. DiPaola tied the game with a penalty kick score.
From there, Lycoming pressed taking six shots in the game’s final 37 minutes and Widener managed four, but neither could dent the twine as the teams’ battled to a tie for the second straight time at Quick Stadium, as they battled to a 1-1 draw in 2010.
Senior
James Quinn (Tonawanda, N.Y./Kenmore East) made two saves in net for the Warriors and Jakub Valdner added two for the Pride.
Lycoming held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks, a 13-11 lead in shots and Widener held an 18-9 advantage in fouls.
The Warriors now head home for a pair of games, starting with a 4 p.m. game against Commonwealth Conference foe Lebanon Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The game will have an audio broadcast on ESPNWilliamsport.com.
