PALMYRA, Pa. – With two first half goals, Lebanon Valley won a critical Commonwealth Conference men’s soccer game, 2-0, over the Lycoming College men’s soccer team on Sunday, Oct. 30, at In the Net, keeping the Dutchmen’s playoff hopes alive and knocking the Warriors out of postseason contention.
Chris Hall got the Flying Dutchmen (12-7 overall, 4-3 Commonwealth) on the board in the fifth minute as he tied the school record for goals on a header and Kevin Doty added a goal in the 14
th minute. Doty finished with a goal and an assist to lead the Dutchmen.
The Warriors (9-8-2 overall, 2-4-1 Commonwealth) fought back, outshooting the Dutchmen, 14-12, but couldn’t dent the twine, as James Clements made six stops in the shutout.

Connor Keenan (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) stopped four shots in net for the Warriors.
First-year head coach
Doug Stahl set a school record as he became the first rookie coach in school history to finish with a winning record, as the Warriors recorded their fourth winning season in the last five years.
Lebanon Valley secured at least a No. 4 seed in the conference playoffs with the win as they finished with 12 points to move into a temporary third-place tie with Elizabethtown, pending the outcome of the Alvernia-Arcadia contest on Monday. Arcadia, with a win could move into third with 13 points and knock Elizabethtown out of the playoffs, as LVC beat the Blue Jays, 1-0, in their head-to-head matchup.
