GLENSIDE, Pa.
--- Junior Brad Houseknecht scored the game-winning goal with eight minutes left in the game to seal a 1-0 victory over host Baptist Bible on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The win was head coach Scott Kennell’s 99th of his career.

Lycoming improves to 8-2 on the season, playing in its last game before opening the conference schedule. Baptist Bible falls to 3-7 overall.

Houseknecht (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) took the ball at the midfield and carried it to the Defender penalty box, where he split between two Baptist Bible players, leaving himself a great shot, taking it and putting the Warriors up 1-0.

Senior Matt Klipp (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) made five stops on the day, preserving the shut out. He faced seven Defender shots. Lycoming held a slim 8-7 margin in shots, placing four on goal. Houseknecht and senior Mike Coates were the team leaders in shots, taking two each.

Lycoming returns to its home field on Saturday, Oct. 3 when Commonwealth Conference foe Widener University comes to Williamsport for a 1 p.m. start.
