WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- An 11-2 St. John Fisher first half handed the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team a 17-9 loss on Saturday, March 28, despite a four goal day by Warrior Sammi Jo Bell.
The loss drops Lycoming to 4-5 overall while the Cardinals jump to 2-3.
Sammi Jo Bell was the top producer on offense for the Warriors, recording four goals on seven shots, six of which were on net. She also earned five draw controls. Justine Titko put together a three point day on one goal and two assists. Danielle Gargiulo continued to dominate down low, causing six turnovers and picking up four groundballs.
The Cardinals of St. John Fisher were led by a seven point day by Lauren Glavin, who registered three goals and four assists. Courtney Clare was second with five goals and one assists.
Other scorers for Lycoming were Christi Karr with two with Megan McIntyre and Bri Robertson tallying one a piece. McIntyre, Kelly Morsey and Morgan Reale all had one assist. Lycoming won the battle at the draw circle by a narrow 15-13 margin.
Lycoming will be back on the pitch Wednesday, April 1 when they travel to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. for a night game against King’s College. The opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
