Abel (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) helped Lycoming go 2-1 last week, including its second win in the Commonwealth Conference. The Warriors handled Albright 3-0 as Abel registered seven digs and scored two service aces on Tuesday, Sept. 23. At the Lycoming Tri-Match with Penn College and Misericordia on Saturday, Sept. 26\Lycoming defeated cross-town rival Penn College 3-0. Abel managed to pick up an additional 17 digs and two more service aces. Versus Misericordia, Lycoming fell 3-2 in a five-setter. Abel picked up another 29 digs and two kills in the loss.

The Lady Warriors return to the court on Wednesday, Sept. 30 when they host Commonwealth foe Widener University. The first serve is set for 7 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.

Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week through the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at www.lycoming.edu/athletics
