After raising her batting average 67 points during the week, senior Taylor Gessner has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. The third baseman went 8-of-19 during the week, hitting at a .421 clip to go with a .526 slugging percentage. Gessner went 2-for-3 with a run and a walk in a 6-1 win over FDU-Florham and followed that with a 2-for-4 effort and a run in a 4-2 nine-inning win. She added a pair of doubles and RBIs at Wilkes on Saturday and had two more hits and a run against the Colonels on Sunday.
