ANNVILLE, Pa. --- In a release from the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference, Lycoming College junior running back Josh Kleinfelter has been named as the Offensive Player of the Week, following the Warriors' 37-23 victory at Susquehanna University on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Kleinfelter was named as Lycoming’s Warrior of the Week for the week of Sept. 21.

Kleinfelter (Bellwood, Pa./Bellwood-Antis) was key to the Warrior win as he rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns, accounting for almost half of Lycoming’s 392 total yards of offense in the win over their local rival. His touchdown runs covered 53 and 25 yards. Kleinfelter carried the ball 29 times, averaging 6.2 yards per carry.

The Warriors' next game is Saturday, Sept. 26 when they travel to Bridgewater (Va.) College for their final non-conference game of the year. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week through the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at www.lycoming.edu/athletics
