With two wins over nationally-ranked wrestlers on Saturday, senior heavyweight Garrett Wesneski picked up the Southeast Region Most Outstanding Wrestler Award as well as his third Warrior of the Week award and second of the year. Wesneski earned his second straight Southeast Region title at 285 pounds, rolling through his day on Friday with a tech fall and a fall. In the semifinals, Wesneski downed Gettysburg's eighth-ranked Paul Triandafilou, 3-0, before pulling the upset of the tournament with a 5-4 win over defending national champion, Jake Evans of Waynesburg. Wesneski is 24-1 overall and began the week ranked fifth in the d3wrestle.com poll.
