After earning wins in her first two starts in the circle and posting six runs and four RBI at the plate, junior Cayla Treaster has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. During the softball team's trip to Myrtle Beach, Treaster threw a six-hit five-inning shutout in an 11-0 win over Alfred State, walking two and striking out four in her first career start. She also threw a two-hitter in the five-inning, 19-2 win over Brooklyn, walking four and striking out five. She allowed one earned run in the win to improve to 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA on the young season. At the plate, Treaster hit .286 while also seeing time at second base when not pitching. She scored six runs, including three times against Brooklyn, and she had doubles against Wesley and Rutgers-Camden. She also notched four RBI and her .464 on-base percentage is tied for fourth on the team.
