Kicking off a junior year by setting two draw control school records, junior Kelly McGinniss has earned her fourth career Warrior of the Week award and her first of the season. The midfielder also added 5.5 points, 5.0 goals and 4.5 groundballs per game in a pair of Warrior wins. She had four goals and an assist, seven ground balls, a caused turnover and a school-record 15 draw controls in a 15-12 win over 2017 CSAC runner-up Marywood in the season-opener. She also set the school's career record in draw controls in the game, surpassing the mark of 225 set by Brooke Strausser (2010-13). As an encore, McGinniss added six goals, all on free-position opportunities, two ground balls and 12 draw controls in 18-17 come-from-behind win over Buffalo State. McGinniss leads the MAC Commonwealth with 13.5 draw controls per game and her 5.0 goals per game are second.
