After setting two school records in her first MAC Championships trip, freshman McKenna Zeller has earned her second career Warrior of the Week award. The rookie wrapped up the championships by finishing runner-up in the 200-yard backstroke on Sunday, posting a time of 2:06.35, which broke the school record by nearly five seconds. Two nights earlier, she broke the 100-yard backstroke record in the opening leg of the 400-yard medley relay, posting a split of 58.80, smashing the record by nearly three seconds. On Saturday, she finished seventh in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.99, finishing off her third straight sub-one-minute effort in the event. In her other individual event, Zeller finished 16th in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.55, while her preliminary time of 25.35 was the fifth-fastest in program history. Zeller helped the 200-yard medley relay finish sixth, the 400-yard medley relay eighth, the 200-yard freestyle relay seventh and the 400-yard freestyle relay ninth, as she finished the meet with a team-best 55.05 split.
