A seven-goal week that included helping lift the Warriors to their first playoff win since 2005 has helped senior Matt McCaffer earn his fifth career Warrior of the Week award and the third of his career. He started the week with a four-goal, one-assist game against Messiah in an 8-7 win in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament First Round, as McCaffer scored twice in a row to help the Warriors tie the game at seven in the fourth quarter after the team was down two goals, scoring the game-tyer with 10:21 left in the game. After earning Second Team All-Commonwealth Conference honors on Wednesday, McCaffer capped the year by scoring three more goals against Stevenson in the conference semifinals on Thursday. McCaffer finished the season with 53 goals, the fifth most in school history. The league-leader in goal-scoring, McCaffer's goal total is the most by a Warrior since 2005, when Dave Kirschner scored 56 goals. He also finished his career with 113 goals, the seventh-most in school history.
