After running the 11th-fastest time in program history in the 6K, senior Sydney Taylor has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. Taylor posted a 25:42.5 at the Lock Haven Invitational, bettering her previous career best by 18 seconds set during her sophomore year, as she helped the Warriors top five runners finish 19th in the Crimson race at the meet, finishing behind eight Division I and II programs and ahead of two Division II programs in Millersville and Mansfield.
Taylor, who battled Hodgkins Lymphoma throughout 2022, posted an average time of 4:17 per kilometer, a pace nearly faster than her best 5K pace of 4:10 per kilometer set when she was a sophomore in high school.
