With a pair of clutch plays in road wins, freshman Nicole Calella wrapped up her first career Warrior of the Week award. The freshman point guard has helped the Warriors to a 3-3 overall mark and a 2-1 record in the Commonwealth Conference, keeping it in a tie for fourth before heading into the new year. Calella averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists while leading the Warriors to wins at Alvernia and Hood. She also has a penchant for big plays at the end of the game, as the rookie hit two free throws with 1.3 seconds left to secure the 65-61 win against Alvernia and against Hood, she went coast-to-coast with 15.8 seconds left to break a tie at 62 and lead the Warriors to a 65-62 win.
