WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College freshman men’s tennis player David Brown has been named the College’s Warrior of the Week for April 12.
Brown (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) improved to 5-0 in singles action after not dropping a game in the fourth flight, defeating his opponent from DeSales University 6-0, 6-0 on Thursday, April 8 and downing his Alvernia University foe 6-0, 6-0 on Saturday, April 10. Brown partnered up with his brother Robert Brown and won their doubles matches, 8-0 over DeSales and 8-2 against Alvernia.
Brown is an undeclared major.
Lycoming is now 4-1 overall after sweeping DeSales 9-0 and taking down Alvernia 7-2. The Warriors are at home for their next match as they host Misericordia University on Monday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m.
Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week throughout the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu.
