Junior Craig Needhammer rushed for a career-high 182 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Lycoming College football team to a 52-14 win against Misericordia on Sept. 21, helping him earn his first career Warrior of the Week award. Needhammer was outstanding for the Warriors, rushing just 16 times to rack up the 182 yards, an amazing 11.4 yards per carry while only playing in the first half. He scored on touchdown runs of 21, 23 and 36 yards, giving him four on the season and 19 in his career, which is tied for eighth in school history with Mike Santoleri (1979-82). Needhammer also outrushed the nation's leading rusher in the game, as the Warrior defense held Jeff Puckett to 43 yards.
