WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Senior women’s basketball guard Alicia Engler has been named the Lycoming College Warrior of the Week for Feb. 8.
 
The Lady Warriors went 1-1 during the week, with Engler posting 17 points off the bench. She also grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out four assists. Against No. 21 Lebanon Valley, she put up eight points and grabbed three rebounds. Bench play was a big factor in the Warriors defeating Arcadia. Engler recorded nine of Lycoming’s 31 bench points.
 
The Lady Warriors battled against the No. 21 ranked Dutchmen, falling 66-54 in a road game on Wednesday, Feb. 3. After the game was postponed, Lycoming edged Arcadia 58-53 on Sunday, Feb. 7.
 
Lycoming is back on the road on Wednesday, Feb. 10 when it travels to Elizabethtown College. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
 
Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week throughout the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu.
