WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Lycoming College junior women’s basketball forward Kaitlyn Ober has been named Warrior of the Week for Jan. 11.
Ober (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) led Lycoming to its first conference win of the season in a nail-biting 61-60 game at Albright College Saturday, Jan. 9.
She was an integral part of the offense, recording a game-high 19 points, while hitting nine of her 16 shot attempts. She also pulled down seven rebounds, five of which were on defense, and tallied two steals.
The Lady Warriors return to Lamade Gymnasium for their first home game of the New Year when Messiah College comes to town on Wednesday, Jan. 13. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week through the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu.
