Believe it or not, it took a solid performance in the pool and not on the gridiron that has helped senior Nate Oropollo earn his first career Warrior of the Week award. In his fourth week with the men's swimming team, Oropollo was a force while helping the Warriors to a 155-105 win over Messiah on Saturday, Dec. 8. He served as the anchor of the winning team in both relay races, starting the meet with a blazing 21.44 split, the fastest in the race, to lead the Warriors to the 200-yard medley win in 1:40.15. He followed that by posting a 22.20 time to win the 50-yard freestyle relay and capped the meet with a split of 50.79 in the 400-yard freestyle relay to lead Warriors to a 3.64 second win. For good measure, the four-year letterwinner as a defensive end on the football team was named to the D3football.com All-East Region Second Team as a during the week.
