With a pair of double-figure scoring efforts that led to a pair of Warrior wins, freshman Shannon Wheeler has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. The 5-3 point guard averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while leading the team to wins over Elizabethtown and Arcadia, shooting a solid .550 from the field (11-of-20). Against Elizabethtown, Wheeler posted 19 points and three assists. With the Warriors down by four points with less than three minutes left, Wheeler took over, posting a 3-pointer and then convertin a traditional 3-point play on a fastbreak layup to give the Warriors the lead for good with 1:56 left. Against Arcadia, she finished with 10 points and four assists while helping the Warriors to a 66-55 win.
