Buoyed by the first 20-kill performance of the season by a Lycoming College volleyball player, freshman Bethany Richardson has earned her second career Warrior of the Week award. During the course of the week, Richardson helped the team to a split of four matches while slamming down an average of 2.81 kills per set and hitting .246. The outside hitter started the week with 20 kills and a hefty .486 hitting percentage in the five-set thriller against Widener. She also posted 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. Against Lancaster Bible, Richardson jumpstarted a rally after the Warriors fell behind, 2-0, by smashing down three of her 14 kills in a row in the third set and helping lead the Warriors to the 3-2 win. She also helped the team to a split of Commonwealth Conference matches on Saturday, posting six kills, five digs and three blocks in a sweep of Hood and adding five kills, six digs and two aces against league-leading Stevenson.
