With a breakout week at the plate, freshman Kristen Steiner has earned her first Warrior of the Week award. After starting her career by going 1-for-17, Steiner turned it around in a period of seven games, going 7-for-15 (.467) with a double, an RBI and a run. Steiner posted two two-hit games in the past week, notching them in the second game of doubleheaders against King's and Alvernia. She also has adjusted to a new position, playing five games last week at shortstop. The utility infielder has seen time at first base, shortstop and catcher this season.
