Junior Janelle Poorman got off to a blistering start in 2012, shattering a school record in her first game and hitting .500 during the Lycoming College softball team's eight-game trip in North Myrtle Beach, S.C, helping her earn her second career Warrior of the Week award. Poorman provided the clinching blow in 10-0 opening-day win over Principia with her eighth career home run in the fifth inning, breaking the school's career record set by Jen Shuler (1996-99) and Jessica Feerrar (2000-03). In all, she hit .500 (11-for-22) with five runs, a double, two homers and 10 RBI during her time in the Palmetto State, including three three-hit games, posting them against Principia, Eureka and Clarion.
