Freshman BethAnn Schwoyer enjoyed a memorable first day in the water for the Lycoming College women's swimming team, helping her earn her first career Warrior of the Week award. The backstroke specialist from Williamsport, Pa., kicked off her career by leading a freshman quartet to a win in the 200 medley relay at Ursinus. She followed that by finishing third in the 200-yard freestyle and finished the day by finishing second in the 100-yard backstroke by the slimmest of margins, .01 seconds, as she also started her career just 1.64 seconds shy of the school record set by Kelly Sykes in 2006, as she posted a 1:03.31.
