After breezing through the 165-pound bracket at the NCAA Division III Region II Qualifier to reach the NCAA Championships for the second straight year, junior Kaiden Wagner has earned his first career Warior of the Week award. Wagner, the top seed at 165 pounds, notched a 15-0 tech fall in 1:34 over Pitt-Bradford's Peyton Mitchell and added an 81-second pin over St. John Fisher's Trevor Sheehan in the quarterfinals on Friday. On Saturday, he defeated Ryley Monica at 165 pounds, 8-3, in the semifinal to clinch his second straight berth at the NCAA Championships and beat Carter Davis of Penn College, by major decision, 8-0, in the final.
Wagner, ranked eighth by the NWCA, is 14-1 this season, posting two pins and eight tech falls. He is 25-5 in his two-years at Lycoming.
