With the fourth-fastest time in program history and by becoming the first runner to cross the 27:30 mark on an 8K course in eight years, junior Kenneth Draper has earned his first career Warrior of the Week award. Draper finished his junior year by leading the Warriors at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional with a time of 27:26.6, which placed him 128th in the field of 216 runners. Draper joined Quincy Amabile (2016), Greg Seymour (1994) and Scott Condello (1999) as the only runner in program history to post a time uner 27:30 on an 8K course.
